International Women’s day was celebrated by MCC Bank to recognize the selfless service of women staff at MCC bank Campus, Mangalore on 9th March, 2024.

The Chief Guest for the program was Ms Corrine Rasquinha, Founder of White Doves, Kulshekar, Mangalore. Directors of the Bank, Mrs Irene Rebello, Dr Freeda F. D’souza, Mrs Sharmila Menezes and Branch Managers: Mrs Blanche Fernandes, Mrs Sunitha W. D’souza, Mrs Ida Pinto, Mrs Irene Dsouza, Mrs Jacintha Fernandes, Mrs Wilma Jyothi Sequeira and Mrs Anitha Dsouza were on the dais.

The program began with a prayer song which was led by Mr Manoj Lopes and his group.

General Manager Mr Sunil Menezes welcomed the gathering. While congratulating all the lady staff on the occasion of women’s day, he explained the importance of women’s day celebration and significant contribution of women in all spheres.

The function was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the women present on the Dias.

The chief guest Ms Corrine Rasquinha, was honoured by the bank for her selfless service towards the under privileged, downtrodden and sick people in the society.

Ms Corrine Rasquinha, in her key note address congratulated the lady members of MCC Bank family on the occasion of International Women’s Day. She said the main objective of celebration of Internal Women’s Day this year is to “Invest in woman to accelerate in growth”. She called upon the audience to create awareness about the significant contribution of the women to the society and to emphasize the importance of the rights and honour of women in our society. She said that inspite of facing various challenges, women have been taking important roles and responsibilities in all sectors of the society. She gave her example on how she faced and overcame various challenges in building the house for the homeless and destitute, “White Doves”. She advised the women to be positive in their thought, speech and action.

On this occasion Mr Jerald Jude D’silva, Vice Chairman congratulated all the women of MCC Bank and explained the important role played by them for the welfare of the family and the society at large.

On this occasion, Director Mrs Irene Rebello gave a talk on women empowerment and progress. In the male dominant society, women face various challenges. But, women should come out of their comfort zone and face all the challenges for their betterment and for the betterment of their family.

All the Directors and Managers on the dais were honored with Shawl, Flower bouquet, Memento and Gift and all the lady staff members were also honored.

Speaking on behalf of the women at MCC Bank, Mrs Sunitha Dsouaza, Branch Manager of Surathkal Branch, expressed gratitude to the Management for arranging such a wonderful program. She said that all women staff members are privileged to be the part of MCC Bank.

Rayan Praveen, Branch Manager of Karkala Branch was honoured for his dedicated and note worthy service at MCC Bank. In reply, Mr Rayan Praveen thanked all at MCC Bank for their Support.

Chairman Sahakara Ratna Mr Anil Lobo, Directors, Mr Andrew Dsouza, Mr Herold Monteiro, Mr Roshan Dsouza, Mr C.G.Pinto, Mr Anil Patrao, Mr Melwin Vas, Mr Vincent Lasrado, Mr Sushantha Saldanha, Mr Felix Dcruz were also present during the occasion.

Soon after the formal function, cultural program was organized and the audience was kept enthralled by Live Music by Silver Tone Group, Karkala, Jokes by Vismaya and Skit by Men staff of MCC Bank.
